Being the daughter of a Fighter pilot, Maria had the privilege of traveling to many countries  in her youth. The richness and beauty she saw in her travels have colored their way deep into her design philosophy. With a desire to bridge her passion for the arts with her inner creativity, she decided to pursue a career in the Film business. Maria is now a Production Designer for Motion Pictures and Television. She began her career working on the “ Terminator ‘’ as a Set Decorator but was given the Art Director responsibilities and set her sights on Production Designing. When interviewed she credits David Milch for allowing her to be fearless in her work. She worked with David on the  television show DEADWOOD, and won an Emmy for her work. Born in Chicago, she now resides in Los Angeles. She has a son named Forest Terry. “ He is an extraordinary human being ‘’, she quoted, and is Maria’s biggest inspiration.  “ His love of life taught me how to design with a respectful heart and experience God’s presence more acutely when I’m designing”.  “ I’m humbled by my talented crews that always work with me “.  “ I’m hands on and a stickler for details and my passion is to help tell the richest story and be of service to the characters with our sets. I regard my work as a testimonial.
